WYNN™

WYNN is the innovative literacy software tool designed to enhance success for individuals with reading challenges and writing difficulties. By using the software’s bi-modal approach — simultaneous highlighting of the text as it is spoken — WYNN transforms printed text into understandable information that benefits readers of all ages.

Two versions available

WYNN is available in two versions: WYNN Wizard and WYNN Reader. Both versions read text aloud while highlighting spoken words, include the four color-coded toolbars, and provide reading, writing, studying, productivity, and Internet features.

• WYNN Wizard, our premier product, includes optical character recognition (OCR), the ability to scan printed pages and convert them into electronic text. Speech synthesis enables this scanned text to be read aloud. Additionally, WYNN Wizard can read word processing documents, PDF files, text files, and the Internet.
• WYNN Reader includes all features of WYNN Wizard except OCR, or scanning. Additionally, files that have been previously scanned and saved using WYNN Wizard can be read with WYNN Reader.

We provide Network-enabled versions of both WYNN Wizard and WYNN Reader.

Ease of use

WYNN's four color-coded, rotating toolbars create a unique differentiator for this software solution. The simple point-and-click interface is extremely easy to use. The toolbars emphasize file management, visual and auditory presentation of text, traditional study tools, writing aids and Internet use.

WYNN has two voice synthesizers to choose from:

• RealSpeak™ Voice Synthesizer provides human-sounding voices in US English, British English, and eleven optional languages.
• ViaVoice®, IBM’s precise sounding speech synthesizer provides clear spoken text in US English, Spanish, and six other languages.

"Electronic Picture" of Text and Graphics

• WYNN provides an exact replica of text and graphics for a wide variety of file types, including Word, PDF, and HTML.

Self-paced, Individual Reading Environments

• Ability to easily create preferred auditory reading environments — pause between sentences, numerous voices, speed of reading, immediate stop and start.

Powerful Internet Access

• WYNN's exclusive WebMasking™ feature, using IBM's Web Access Technology, masks distracting visual clutter and helps readers focus on important information.

TestTalker™

	TestTalker is a software solution designed to help individuals be more successful with test taking, worksheet completion, and study materials. It also aids completion of electronic forms. TestTalker provides a computerized version of a test, worksheet, or other form that can talk.

Freedom Scientific's Learning Systems Group is pleased to introduce a partnership between Don Johnston's Start-to-Finish® Books and LSG's TestTalker. The extremely popular Start-to-Finish Books provide a controlled reading experience with a bi-modal auditory and visual feedback. Now users of Start-to-Finish Books will be able to download the quizzes in TestTalker format, free of charge.

Network Summary

The network version of WYNN uses floating licenses. A school or organization is allowed to install Network WYNN on as many workstations as they wish, but only the licensed number will be allowed to use Network WYNN at the same time.
